Dr. Dirk Stübben studied business administration at Cologne University and went on to work in corporate financial control in Switzerland. He then worked in conventional tax consultancy and auditing in Cologne. He wrote his doctoral thesis at Cologne University’s faculty of corporate taxation under Professor Gerd Rose. His subject was the tax burden in Germany and Switzerland.
The main focus of his consulting work is taxation in foreign contexts, especially Switzerland, and recommendations of suitable legal forms for companies in conjunction with the appropriate restructuring actions. He also advises on economically appropriate and tax-efficient finance packages for medium-sized businesses.
He then founded the partnership with Dr. Dirk Stübben in 1987.
Ulrich Heers was graduated in business administration, having studied at Erlangen-Nuremberg and Strasbourg universities. With a track record of 13 years in advisory and auditing capacities in two major international auditing and consultancy companies, he joined Kieffer & Stübben in 2004, going into partnership with the two existing partners.
Most of his work lies in group, partnership and international fiscal law and corporate restructuring. Ulrich Heers also lectures on current taxation topics.
She specializes in consulting services for medium-sized and large enterprises of all kinds in the fields of commercial and fiscal accounting law. In addition, she advises individuals with large capital and real estate assets.
After training as an assistant tax consultant, Ms. Mehlkop qualified as an accountant and certified tax advisor and worked as a consultant in several medium-sized tax consultancy and auditing firms. After several years of serving in a management role at Kieffer Stübben & Partners she became a partner in July 2013.
Christoph Michels is a consultant for all forms of legal entities concerning questions relating to tax law and accounting. His subject areas include national and international accounting, preparation and audit of year-end and consolidated financial statements (HGB, IFRS as well as US-GAAP), tax due diligence and business valuation (inheritance and gift tax).
Christoph Michels began his studies at the Universities of Essen and Düsseldorf majoring in Business Administration (Company Auditing, Corporate Finance; Tax Law). During his seven-year engagement at Deloitte, he completed their Audit Excellence Program at the Mannheim Business School. After his examination as a German Certified Public Auditor he joined KSP in 2014, becoming a partner at the firm in 2017.
MS Shen is a Consultant for both private individuals as well as forms of legal entities concerning questions relating to tax laws and accounting.
The main Focus of her activities is on China, representing and advising chinese Investors with state backing, publicly listed companies and private individuals investing in the greenfield and M+A sectors in Germany.
After completing her Bachelors studies (Company Auditing) at the Universiy of Fudan in Shangai she went on the University of Bielefeld studying Business Administration (Tax and Controlling).
Following an eight year Engagement with the “Big Four” consultancies she started at KSP in 2012 becoming a Partner in 2017.
Philipp Stübben began his studies at the University of Cologne majoring in Business Administration (Corporate Finance; Tax Law). While employed at one of the “Big Four” auditing firms, he completed their post-graduate program Master of Tax Science.
After becoming a Certified Tax Advisor he was engaged by one of Colognes most renowned Tax and Auditing firms for 3 years. During this time he became a Certified Public Auditor. Mr Stübben has been employed at KSP since 2013 becoming a partner at the firm in 2017.
His key activitites include restructering of partnerships and offering pin-point advice on investments and real-estate companies
Martin Tottmann is a consultant for both private individuals as well as all forms of legal entities concerning questions relating to tax law and accounting. His key activities include income tax and and profit earnings tax as well as inheritance tax and gift tax subjects. Furthermore voluntary disclosures of tax evasion and fiscal procedural law.
After his studies at the University of Applied Sciences for Finance / Fachhochschule für Finanzen in Nordkirchen he completed the Master Study Program of Tax Sciences at the Westfälischen Wilhelms-University in Münster. He worked three years at the Federal Central Tax Office before moving in 2010 to Flick Gocke Schaumburg in Bonn where he consulted in self-disclosure fiscal law.
Martin Tottmann has been employed at KSP since 2013, becoming a partner at the firm in 2017.
In addition he is guest lecturer for fiscal procedural law at the Bundesfinanzakademie.
His specialties include fiscal and financial advice to private individuals, business consulting especially in the fields of investment appraisal, financing and financial budgeting, and tax advice in matters of succession, will writing and inheritance.
After serving a banking apprenticeship, Dr. Walther Kieffer studied business administration to doctoral level at Cologne University. He majored in principles of corporate taxation and finance. Walther Kieffer gained several years’ experience in medium-sized auditing companies in Cologne and Munich. He then founded the partnership with Dr. Dirk Stübben in 1987.
